Our new Primary library is in use, but we have been waiting for some of the furniture to arrive. The tables for the MAC lab arrived last week and a delivery of chairs and other furniture arrived this morning. The photos below show the MAC lab as it is being set up. Note the outlook over the lake, amphitheatre and new primary classoom building.

The new Covered Open Learning Area provides a large open covered space for a range of activities limited only by your imagination. In these photos, it is being used for indoor soccer. It's also used as a meeting point for parents and outside of school hours, by the wider community such as local youth groups.

We are getting very close to being able to use our new Lower Primary Resource Centre. The builders will be finished in a few days, after which we can install furniture, computers, books and everything else that goes into a state of the art teaching and learning space. The amphitheatre area is also now complete. Extended terracing plus shade sails plus the new classrooms and the breezeway underneath have finished off this area. The amphitheatre and stage is a performance space that can fit the whole school

The new Upper Primary classrooms have been in use for some time now. The new building plus the associated landscaping has really transformed the look of that part of the College. At the same time, new drainage and irrigation was installed in the High School. The hot & wet weather lately has allow the new grass and trees to establish themselves quickly.

The roof is going onto the new Primary covered open learning area this week. The steel roof has been manufactured on site to form a single curved span that covers the width of the building.The photo below shows the first panel being installed. The roof should be in place by the end of the week.

The final touches are now being made on the new Primary classrooms. The construction fencing has gone and the concreting around the building will be completed this week allowing landscaping of new gardens to begin and carpets to be laid in the rooms.

Work has begun on the new undercover learning area. The biggest part of this job is digging 14, 5 metre deep holes for the roof supports.

The scaffolding has been removed from the new Upper Primary classrooms, so you can now begin to imagine what the final product will look like. These new rooms, and the surrounding area - across the the library and down to the amphitheatre will be magnificent.

The Primary Classrooms are on track for finishing in December. Much of the scaffolding has been removed between the floors and so is starting to look like a real building. We poured the concrete for the ground floor slab of the new primary classrooms today. In a few days time, we'll really start to see some progress above ground as the scaffolding starts going up.

We seem to be getting closer to starting on the Lower Primary Resource Centre. We expect approval in the next couple of weeks (please pray that it is so. The drainage, plumbing and other underground work is complete. Now work has started above ground. You can see the ground level is significantly higher than the old building that was here. This is to allow the new building to eventually meet up with the Greening Centre building in the High School.

A very good question. The wonders of modern graphics software allows us to see 3D concept drawings in the planning stage. In this new building there will be 6 class rooms on the top floor and 4 on the ground. The old classrooms plus canteen and uniform shop have all been cleared away leaving a blank site - ready to prepare for construction. New concrete pathways around the site are being laid. So all will be ready for school to return on Monday.
